Luís Coelho is an Associate Professor at The School of Economics – University of Algarve, where he takes on the roles of Associate Dean and Head of the Master program in Finance. He is also a member of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Management and Economics from the University of Évora and an Associated Member of CinTurs, a Research Centre for Tourism, Sustainability and Well-being based at the University of Algarve.
Luís holds a first degree in Economics and a MSc in Corporate Finance from the School of Economics, University of Algarve, a MRes in Management from the Management School of Cranfield University and a PhD in Management from The Business School - University of Edinburgh.
He has published in several international journals such as the Journal of Accounting, Auditing and Finance, the International Journal of Operations & Production Management, Accounting and Finance, the Journal of Econometric Methods and the Total Quality Management & Business Excellence.
He is a Certified Public Accountant at Portugal, member of several associations and the Head of the Algarve´s Chartered Economists' Association. Luís is also actively engaged in several consulting projects both with private and public entities, and is frequently cited in the media.
