Pedro Valadas Monteiro is the Regional Director of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Algarve (DRAPALG) and a professor at the University of theAlgarve. Graduated in Agronomic Engineering, branch of Rural Engineering, by the Institute of Agronomy of the Technical University of Lisbon, he completed his doctorate in Management from the University of Évora.

He is a researcher at the Center for Research on Space and Organizations (CIEO) and an expert in rural and territorial development, marine economy, environment, management, innovation and entrepreneurship.
